Data Science Learning Change maker. European regional education director SAS Institute.
Ms. Lubbe is a seasoned professional in the world of IT skills development. She started as a trainer and a consultant working for Oracle delivering skills development programs for various global companies. Followed by Education management roles in Peoplesoft, Oracle and SAS Institute. Over the last 25 years she has been supporting companies in technology adoption and advising on developing relevant skills. In her current role she is leading a team of learning advisors from various European countries whom deliver learning programs for customers in different industries. Examples of initiatives are the SAS Academy for Data Science and young talent programs to grow the number of data science professionals.

Corneel Braber is a Senior Data Scientist in the Risk & Fraud Management department at bol.com, the largest e-commerce platform of the Benelux. After finishing her MSc. in Finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, she started her career at ABN AMRO bank. Following up on her keen interest in data, she decided to change her career and got enrolled in the MSc. Data Science at King’s College in London. After completion with distinction she joined a crypto currency gaming start-up in London. In the Netherlands she progressed her career at bol.com.

Corence has been with Rabobank since 2009. In her current position she is responsible for the identification of new value cases, the development of the value cases portfolio roadmap, a generic way of working for analytics, raising the level of data & literacy within the organization and providing advice and guidance with regard to data innovation and tooling within the organization. In previous roles she has gained a lot of experience in the field of innovation and initiating and implementing major changes within Rabobank.

Biography

Corinne Avelines is currently CEO at Sibius, a health-tech startup tackling mental health through its thermometer for mental health and AI platform to measure neurological disorders. She is also serving as non-executive director at Spadel (natural mineral water, Belgium) and Transdev NL (public transportation, NL).
Corinne is a seasoned tech and business leader with both startup & corporate experiences, acquired as Chief Digital Officer in global companies like AkzoNobel, JDE, Tomtom but also in tech startups like myTomorrows (health-tech startup specialised in expanded access & pre-approval treatments) and Innit (foodtech startup based in Silicon Valley). Corinne earned an MBA from IMD (Switzerland) in 2009 and a M.Sc. from ENSTB (France) in 1996.

Biography

Fabiënne Kortas is a Data trainee at YACHT, currently working at waste-to-product company Renewi. After finishing her BSc in International Business, she was able to combine her interests in business and IT during her MSc Business Intelligence and Smart Services at Maastricht University. During her internship at CBS and the municipality of Heerlen, she became acquainted with the concept of Data Science for Social Good. She was able to extend this subject in her research on spatial patterns and scale variability of crime.

 

Angelique Ruiter works at Randstad as a behavioral scientist. After finishing her MA in European Studies she dived into the field of market research.

She then moved to Berlin where she obtained her doctorate in sociology and expanded her knowledge in the research field to user research and behavioral research. Back in The Netherlands she chose to combine her academic knowledge with practical fields of research at Randstad and as a Sr Researcher at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Sharon Gieske is a Data Scientist at Picnic, one of the fastest growing online supermarkets in Europe. Here, she works on applied Machine Learning projects in a wide range of domains such as Demand Forecasting, Customer Success, and Finance.
Sharon contributes to all parts of the Machine Learning life-cycle, including business motivation, building models, and productionizing models. She combines a strong technical background with a hands-on attitude to take e-commerce at Picnic to the next level.

Biography

Robey de Jong is responsible for the Analytics Way of Working within the Rabobank and is part of the Analytics Competence Center. Her current focus is to establish a bank-wide Analytics community and to provide guidelines for analytics practitioners within the bank. She loves her role because it gives her the opportunity to share her experience in Data Science, Architecture and Design. Moreover, it gives her a boost to improve the probability of success of analytics solutions and the explainability of its process. Next to her job, she acts as the Vice President of the CosmoQueen Foundation which fights for women empowerment by providing essential skills in the textile industry. In addition, she aims to shake up industries with innovations as co-founder of an AI start-up. Robey spends her remaining spare time on the pitch as a fanatic field hockey player, during which she learned at a young age how to lead teams.

Biography

Hezha Mohammed Khan (29) TEDx speaker, AMENDS fellow; studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Sulaimani in Iraq. After several years working to have a social impact in the Middle East, she came back to academia to focus on the applications of AI and Data science in the Humanitarian sector. In 2020 she completed her MSc in Data Science and Society at Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences. During her masters study she collaborated with the Zero Hunger Lab at Tilburg University on employing deep neural networks to predict body measurements for the purpose of detecting early malnutrition in children. In 2020 she officially joined the Zero Hunger Lab as a researcher with the ambition to start her PhD. Outside of work, right now she is active in the Equipping Young Peacemakers program that focuses on educating young leaders in the Middle East to incorporate AI, statistics and data in their work.
